Who: Sephiroth and Angeal
Where: Banora
Why: Another of Angeal's frequent check-ups on Sephiroth, to see how far he's recovered and how far there is yet to go.
When: Now. ^^
Angeal: "Sephiroth. I thought I might find you here." Angeal sat beside him.
Sephiroth: "You were looking?" As far as he was concerned he hadn't exactly been hard to find.
Angeal: "I was." He's friendly for now, allowing Sephiroth to dig his way to the point of this discussion, rather than blurting it, outright.
Sephiroth: "For anything in particular?" He left the following 'or did you just feel like seeking out my company' unsaid.
Angeal: "I might have." He grinned, then got to the point. "You told me you'd give my words some thought. Do you have an answer?"
Sephiroth: "I might have." Why no, he's not going to just up and give Angeal the answer, why do you ask?
Angeal: Angeal laughs. "I'm glad to see you have your humor back. Rest assured, I haven't lost my stubbornness." He gives Sephiroth a friendly little grin.
Sephiroth: "I would have worried if you had." That or taken him for one of his clones, but again, that wasn't going to be mentioned.
Angeal: "So maybe you should answer me, since you will eventually, anyway."
Sephiroth: "I rather doubt I'm entirely a monster, if that's your meaning."
Angeal: He nods. "And the goddess?" His expression is sympathetic, measuring.
Sephiroth: "I haven't quite made up my mind there," he answers simply. Sorry Angeal, but that will have to wait a bit longer.
Angeal: "Hmmh." He doesn't seem to approve, but he doesn't fuss at him for that answer. Yet. "And deserving your basic needs?" He looks down, thinking.
Sephiroth: "I suppose you'd complain again if I said I didn't." He *can* recognize patterns, and there's a teasing sort of note to his voice.
Angeal: Slowly, he smiled. "Give me an honest answer."
Sephiroth: "It's nicer here than it would have been elsewhere." It's... closer to a proper answer?
Angeal: He laughs quietly. "You're evading. Keep it up, and I'll assume the worst."
Sephiroth: There's a half-smile at that. "And I suppose we can't have that." A brief pause and he continues. "Unlike what I may have said earlier, I do."
Angeal: The mako in his eyes lights a little further, making them seem an indigo blue, rather than their usual navy. He tries to hide a smile, but can't quite manage. "Are you sure about that?"
Sephiroth: "I am," he answers with a nod. And he means it, too.
Angeal: "I'm glad to hear it." He allows himself to smile fully, now. The discussion isn't over, yet, but he's allowing a moment for Seph to get his bearings. Not to mention that he'd like to pause, now, to show Seph how proud he was of him.
Sephiroth: There's a nod from Sephiroth at that, mostly to show he's heard Angeal's comment. He doesn't comment in return though, mostly since he can't think of anything *to* say.
Angeal: "If She hated you," he murmurs, "do you think She would give you this chance to start over? To fight and succeed, against her worst enemy?"
Sephiroth: "I hadn't bothered to think about it," he answers. Again, it's the simple truth.
Angeal: He once again reminds himself to get Sephiroth more used to physical contact, putting a hand on Sephiroth's back, and asking: "Do so, now?"
Sephiroth: "I think I can manage that." He may not have in answer right away, but he can certainly manage the thinking.
Angeal: Angeal grins.
