I played with
64Studio tonight. I would have last night, but unfortunately they have some kind of problem with burning the ISOs to CD-Rs, and I had to burn it to a DVD-R today at work. It's a 64 bit architecture specific linux distribution made specifically for audio production. It's based on Debian GNU/Linux. It installed really quickly as it used a standard SARGE installer to set it up. However, I was somewhat disappointed. It didn't work with my dual screens, but I suppose that was to be expected. Half of the audio programs didn't work, even when I tried messing with their settings. Then, I started emerging those same programs in Gentoo, and most of them actually worked the first time I tried them. Oh well, it was worth a try. If nothing else I've been made aware of all the possible linux sound programs I could try on some other distro.
