yeah, i'm just dropping by so this place doesn't start to get cobwebs.
m: what do you think would happen if i didn't show up to sing for the recital?
d: You'd miss it, which might not be such a big deal on its own. But your not being there will directly lead someone else to leave upset that you didn't show, get hit by a passing four-wheeler (freak thing). The driver of the four-wheeler will turn out to be a manic-depressive that was waiting for just such an event to push him irrevocably over the platform into the shallow end. He'll go postal and take a bunch of innocents hostage. One of those innocents will finally snap and take him out, but the act of killing someone will drive her crazy and she'll be suddenly overtaken with the desire to do it again in the near future. You'll be her random victim in a trick of cruel irony. I'd show up if I were you.
