life update; because I know you care

- I still haven't gotten sacked from Microsoft, despite massive cutbacks in staff. go me!
- I've gotten a commission to write two chapters of a book, and if they're good enough, said book will be released. It's a sci-fi/fantasy thing about a plague tearing through a society, following a set of protagonists who desperately try to protect their interests. We'll see how it goes.
- Adam & Joe make me laugh
- It's minus 20 degrees centigrade. That's cold. There's snow everywhere, and even public transportation has been suffering (frozen engines and whatnot). Apparently Norwegians aren't as hardy as we were ten years ago when we suffered through minus 30 to minus 50 degrees centigrade. I still remember those days. It was so cold your skin would turn red and then blue within an hour.
- I've finally learnt how to drive. Or, well, I'm learning. I seem to be a fairly decent driver, though, even though I hate going past buses on the motor way. I see life flashing before my eyes every time whilst flooring the accelerator. I'm sure this would be better if I was religious and convinced some kind of omnipotent being protected me because I'm an ace pro-lifer or something. I'm pro-choice, btw. Given that the choice is not taken lightly. Anyway.
- I've completed Assassin's Creed on the Xbox 360. Killing civilians for fun is a great way to remove stress.
- I played a gig with my metal (rock on) band. It went pretty well, but I broke about twelfty strings. Stay tuned for a record no one will ever download or buy.
- Good record: The Twilight Sad's live album. Scottish singing + My Bloody Valentine + wrenching emotions out of a microphone. Oh, and there's an accordion. Awesome.
