New word for me too

xenologue's post reminded me I came across a new word the other day while reading J.D. Salinger's Franny and Zooey (a Jess from Gilmore Girls recommendation). I often (especially lately) have to/should look up words when I'm reading (for instance, I think I've spent years misunderstanding the word bemuse thinking it meant something close to amuse), but this one struck me because I can use it to describe me.

caviling from cavil: to raise captious or frivolous objections.
