our first day in ny was a sucess.

after kyle, katie, brain, and i left the airport, katie and brian took us to the train station in white planes. kyle and i missed the express train by 5 minutes so we had to wait another half hour for the next train into the city to come along. we got into the city around 5:30p and went to planet hollywood for some chicken crunch. we were pleasantly surprised to see a whole showcase up at the front of the restaurant with an assortment of millie costumes.

after we ate we walked over to the 2econd stage theatre to get tickets for little fish. once we snagged our 5th row seats for $10 (student prices are the shit) we sat down, only to see audra mcdonald walk in seconds laters and sit 3 seats away from us. let me just say we were were in a state of shock and hyperventilating.

the show was fantastic. i honestly dont know what all the bad reviews have been about. it was such a funny show with great music and a wonderful cast. everyone fit their role perfectly.

after the show we talked to audra and got pictures with her ("im sick...i look terrible...i better not see these on ebay!!!"). we also talked to marcie and celia (who is the cutest thing ever, maggie!!).

we were finished with all of our little fish buisness around 9:30 so we stopped by movin' out to see aliane since we werent able to get together earlier as planned. then it was off to the train station to catch our train back (which we missed by 1 minute. damn our train karma). so we had to wait another half hour for the next train (which, of course, was not express). katie and nina came to pick us up and we went back to the dorms and just hung out and crashed. we had both had a long day.

now its thursday and we just woke up. i have to go buy a book for a class[that i have a quiz on today and havent even begun to read. oopsie.] and then we have to try and find a ride to the train station or else we're stuck here all day ... we want to try for hairspray tonight ... wish us luck. we're going to need it.
