Are we having fun yet? (Um, no.)

Why am I not surprised that the promised 'clarification' or whatever on lj_biz never materialized?

bubble_blunder is my hero, for this open letter to LJ/6A, which you should all read because it is awesome and pretty much 100% expresses my views on this nonsense, only, you know, politely.

My favorite bit from the post:
"We are not arguing your rights to make rules ( Read more... )

may contain traces of nuts, lj

Oog. Mine was about 648 posts or so. I didn't actually go back and proof them, because I'm keeping the entire kit and kaboodle via LJBook, but just wanted an online mirror of most of the important stuff, just in case. I have to LJBook all of my pup journals soon, so I have all of the writing, just in case. I'm more worried about a bunch of those because of the RP in comments, and as LJ-Sec doesn't transfer comments, that's kind of useless for those... But anyway, I did see your posts all over my GJ this morning, so I figured you'd had some luck :D

A bunch of the early ones are just me messing around with stuff, or crappy memes, but it seemed easier to transfer it all than pick and choose.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I'm working on my To Do List o'Doom at the moment, and half of it is 'backup this journal' and 'transfer that journal'. Is LJBook easier to use for backup than LJArchive? I'm using LJArchive now, 'cause it's what they had in that post irreperable linked me to, but I'm sort of less than impressed with it. It does the job, but... Yeah, I need to backup my pup journals too, for the same reason.

LJBook makes a .pdf of the entire thing, which is fantastic. The only problem is that they tend to get overwhelmed at times like this and be unavailable a lot... (Gosh, go figure!)

Anyway, http://www.ljbook.com/

I likes it :D

Hahahaha omg no way! That sounds very cool- LJArchive will let you export in a couple formats, including HTML, but it's kind of... ugly. It's only got the really old LJ styles like generator, and it doesn't save icons in comments. Bleh.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.
