My job is to retire in exactly 11 years from now from the police department. I have a responsibility to my family to be safe and to reach retirement. I'm not trying to go out and save the world. I know that all the problems the city has will still be there long after I leave. I just do what I have to and go home. When I retire I will be 52 yrs old and have 22 years on the job. When I leave I will go out and get another career and work that career for another 10-12 years.
