FINE, JUST SHUT UP

FINE FINE I'll update!

Damn.

Anyway.

I suppose there have been happenings.  After I had my penicillin debacle, I had this truly horrific sore throat.  It lasted 2 weeks, and the doctor couldn't do anything about it.  The middle week or so, I had to constantly suck on ice cubes in order for it to be bearable.  I even took a percocet to get to bed one night, and it didn't help the pain AT ALL.  It was probably a 7-8 on the pain scale, 10 being my kidney stones at their worst.

So that was fun.

But I'm more or less healthy now.  I had an interview at PC Club on Monday, and the store manager all but gave me a job.  I have a second interview tomorrow with the regional manager to make sure that im manager material.  I'm not too worried.  But I'll post about how it went.  I guess.

Armor was a great novel.  I highly recommend it to anyone, even people who don't like science fiction.  It's very.. human oriented.  I re-read Slaughterhouse-five (and got in trouble for stealing it from fightinjesuit, who will hereafter be known as "the girl"), but it might as well have been the first time again, it had been so long.  Reminded me why I love Vonnegut.  Breakfast of Champions is still my favorite, however.  Go read it.  I command you.

That reminds me.  I've been half-speaking with Invader Zim diction since I received Vols. 2 and 3 and the box for the dvds.  I'm sorry, everyone.

But books.  I like books.  I read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon  in about 5 hours.  It was AMAZING.  The narrator is an autistic teenager, and it's pulled off so well that I hated everyone else in the novel but his father and his teacher by the end of the novel.  Such a brilliant exercise in point-of-view.  And its SO SAD.

I think I'm going to try Jonathon Strange & Mr. Norrell  next, but it's 820ish pages.  I've heard that it's worth the read, but it looks daunting.

I'm getting the itch to write again.  I just hope that this time I'll actually WRITE instead of just think about it all the time.

Things with the girl are swell.  I'm having a hard time spending multiple nights away from her.  We had dinner at The Melting Pot for our two month anniversary (it's special, shut up.  ok, so i just like to celebrate.). I now know the meaning of the term "mouth-gasm", lovingly coined by my better half.  We were seated in a very... very private corner.  And good thing, too.  The food caused some.. visceral reactions in both of us.

We also went camping.  All I have to say is, if you like camping, don't camp at Belfair State Park.  There's not much to do but be naughty in tents.  Not that we.. never mind.  Whatever.  But I did cook some of the best hamburgers EVER.  I'll admit that it was a good time, and only partially because we had alcohol.  Maybe if we went somewhere with... i dunno... trails next time, it would be more fun.  It's not her fault, though, she didn't know.  But next time it will be.

All in all, im really only thinking seriously about three things: books, getting a job (almost complete), and her.

I believe that's in reverse order.
