I have to say that I went to see Religulous on opening day. Not just because of my personal beliefs (if you didn't know I was atheist, SURPRISE!), but because of how powerful of an influence religon has on the policies of the United States and various other countries. It's funny that guy would bring up Pascal's Wager. Only from a religious point of view would it be positive. I'm decidedly agnostic for the time being, because most people waste too much time trying to prove or disprove a God(s). While belief provides many with a feeling of security, for just as many others it gives them a "God-given right" to carry things out in Gods name. With a majority of the world Muslim, as declared by various censuses, that's a whole lot of folks who want to kill or convert everyone who isn't. Unfortunately, Maher didn't focus his movie on Islam, which is the relevant religion to go after in this day and age. Then again, I doubt he'd be in public eye much longer had he done that.

Not just the public eye, I think he would've been dead if he focused the movie on islam. Kinda like how he turned to former mormons to shine the light on the problems of mormonism, he'd have to get a muslim to recognize their problems. But of those four interviews he had with muslims, none of them would admit to anything. One said a little animosity is common, another just said no to everything he said, one said that anything regarding the scriptures wanting to kill/convert other religions is a serious mis-interpretation, and one basically called him a moron.

On a lighter note, my favorite line in the movie was when the republican argued and argued until he finally said "You don't need to take an IQ test to be a politician"
