This harkens back to my last post, in which I mentioned March 2006 being such a rainy season for San Francisco. April followed, and was also VERY rainy, but there was one day that wasn't and the sunset was very nice. Now, mind you, Spring sunsets in San Francisco are very different from Fall sunsets. Fall means RICH pinks and reds usually, but Spring means clear skies when th sun goes down. Sunsets were one of the most brilliant apsects of nature reminding us of our scale in the world and the universe, and so I have tons of sunset photos. This one is a favorite Spring sunset photo. It is a high dynamic range composite of two exposures. Clicking on it will get you the MIGHTY BIG version, btw. :) (Dial-up users are warned!)
This was taken from the top of the previously mentioned Grand View Park, and wow did it live up to its name that day. The neighborhood there you see is the Sunset District of San Francisco. That is the Pacific Ocean you see just beyond the neighborhood.
