twilight disgusts and disturbs me

i CAN NOT understand why anyone likes the twilight series of books by stephanie meyer (or whatever her name is,im sure everyone knows the books i am talking about). i read them when i was younger and have read a quarter last night in hope that they were something different. but they werent.

it is mindless drivvle to tell you the truth. bella is a little mindless sap who has no thoughts of her own. she has no personality. i think the original (non movie cover) of the books say a lot. the whole apples. like eve is a temptress type stuff. and quite frankly the book evolves around religion. people say they dont see it. i cant see how they cannot. narnia i thought was obvious. but this book. even a dim wit would see it.

i dont think any of the people who have looked critically at the books are really critical writers. they merely see what is blatantly obvious. you dont have to be a scholar to see. its all about religious ideals surronding gender assuptions of woman and men, and a unhealthy and limiting view of sexuality for girls. for instance edward seems affected by bella the moment he sees her. he doesnt have to know anything about her. through out the book we get from this relationship and all other relationships in the book that men need to careful of woman, that woman are temptresses without trying to be and that they need to limit or restrict themselves in order to make sure men arent tempted otherwise it could go to far. and we wouldnt freaken want that because it sounds like edward would rape her or something. i dont know quotes as i dont own the book (thank god) but trust me on this one. i could find exact quotes if i had the book now.

bella is meek and timid. bellas actions are described as 'meek' as she often tries to hide herself from people. although the spell she casts on other males is still irrisitable. she is so boring im not sure what they are drawn to. and she tries to hide herself more. one might even call her a cock tease. haha.

all the men in the book have an arrogant air, esp edward. this is in contrast with bellas submissive weak nature. she is def not a buffy kinda girl. sadly.

the whole book is poorly written and also written around a premise - weak vampire story which isnt really pulled off and which is more about the whole relationship these too have. if bella was real i would slap her shes so pathetic. the fixation on this whole propaganda is so obvious. there is nothing much happening in the book - you know perphial to bella's fixation on edward. she has no funky friends with attitudes. she has no life. she comes home from school and cooks her dad (that she doesnt even really know dinner) how many teenage girls would do that of there own accord? and her dad comes home from work as a policeofficer with his gun, haha, asking whats for dinner. its assumed. she cleans and cooks and doesnt really do much. shes so freaken boring. if you want a real vampire movie. watch buffy. this is shiiiite.

the mindless girl no doubt needs something to cling on like edward as shes so fucken boring and it is never mentioned or apparent why she likes edward either. because from the moment he meets her (first meeting) he seems to absolutely detest her and she wants him to like her and he becomes the meaning of her life. how sick is this? she comes to school for him. which kinda clashes with the whole idea that girls can have a lot more to come to school for, interest, hobbies, friends. bella is a blank slate. ugh. i couldnt read much more than quarter,. i read it when i was younger and i didnt like it. it was so obvious then. no one needs to study english to know how crap this book is, but now i have i cant even hate it. its not worth my breath. i cant believe teenage girls are buying this. i hear them in the stores telling their moms "this is meant to be a good book, really well written". wtf?

anyway i had read enough. ive heard different things that come next. the start was hard enough to stomach. right into it. i dont want to read on. i half remember it. sick. i mean these books have no substance, no cleverness. how are they popular? why do the crap writers always earn the moohlah?

i thought reviewers were exaggerating in their harsh comments. that it couldnt be as bad. in a way they were wrong. its worse than what they said. uuuuuuuuuuuugh

please tell me the film is at least better (not hard to be). that its redeemable and bella is not wuite so intolerable.

would the real vampire please stand up?
