24 hours and counting

She's been yelling since 9 a.m. yesterday.

When I left this morning at 8 a.m. she was still yelling.

She yelled all night. 11 hours straight. At 4 a.m. she stopped for 20 minutes and I was hopeful. At 4.20 she resumed and at 5 a.m. I said fuck it and got her up and showered etc. 30 laps and 60 minutes in the standing frame did nothing to slow her down.

I'm fucking exhausted.

I do the overnight shift again tonight. If only it were possible to sleep through it since nothing is 'wrong' but if you don't play the game she escalates to shrieking. The frustrating part is that just like a baby, you can't reason with her or 'punish' her cause she doesn't understand.

How is it physically possible for her to yell for 24 hours? I don't get it. I'm so tired.
