Chapter Seven

His Wednesdays were never quite the same again.

It was that day every week that ceased to exist for him. The afternoons, in particular, were what he chose to replace with some fuzzy television static in his head. Every Wednesday he would forget he ever dropped by that hotel room. He would enter and leave the door like nothing had ever happened, and would drop by week after week to do the same. Two months had passed before he knew it. How many times he had gone through that hotel room, he had already lost count.

The moment he stepped inside that room he would not speak a single word. When everything was done he would don his clothes and leave. Often he would see him looking at him from the mirror with a lit cigarette on his lips. It was a simple, unspoken agreement. He would come by, do his business, and leave. There was no need for words.

Kazuya's friends came to know they could never go karaoke with him on Wednesdays. Even the family driver no longer picked him up from school on that day. Kazuya always went someplace after school on Wednesdays. Where, he never really told them. As long as he was around on the other days, they never really bothered to know.

It was that day again before he knew it. He had waved to his friends goodbye and made his way past the school gates. He had only started taking that all-too familiar journey to that hotel room when the cellphone in his pocket began to ring.

Kazuya took the ringing mobile from his pocket and flipped it open. It was an unidentifiable number. He creased his forehead and brought it to his ear. "Hello?"

"Yo, Kazu. Still remember who I am?"

The boy's eyebrows met closer in confusion. The voice wasn't familiar, but there was only one person who called him by that name.

His expression cleared in realization. His eyes widened. "Shinpei, is that you??"

"Congratulations, you still remember me," The voice on the other line laughed. "I'm back in town for a couple of weeks. Where are you, man?"

"No way," Kazuya stopped in his tracks. "I just got off from school. What the hell are you doing here?"

"My old man has some business here," His friend replied. "So can I see ya?"

Kazuya fell silent for several seconds. Today was a Wednesday. He always showed up at Jin's every week without fail.

"Sure man," He let out a small grin. "Where are you right now?"

"Man, I miss the burgers here."

Kazuya took a sip of his rootbeer and watched the dark-haired man in front of him take a huge bite from his double cheeseburger. It was an hour later at the local burger joint downtown, and he and his friend were seated by the window.

Shinpei had changed since the last time he had seen him. In his black shirt and denim jeans, Shinpei was now sporting a fringe over his left eye and had piercings on his ear. And to think he remembered him as a pimply freak in glasses.

"Don't they have Taku's in Osaka?" Kazuya creased his forehead.

"There's no Taku's anywhere else," Shinpei snorted. "I don't know why they don't branch out of Tokyo. They're crazy."

"This is still kinda weird," he smiled as he placed his rootbeer down. "You look real different now."

"Yeah? My old man almost freaked out when I got pierced," His friend grinned. "You should try getting one too. It's cool."

"My old man would freak out too," Kazuya laughed. "Maybe some other time."

"No kidding man, girls dig this," Shinpei shook his head. "Then again you probably don't need it, huh?"

"Oh, a ladies' man now, aren't we?" Kazuya grinned. "Been breaking hearts over there in Kansai?"

"Hey, I'm a good guy," Shinpei swallowed his burger. "And how about you? You look like the one who's been making girls cry over here. How many girlfriends have you had so far?"

Kazuya faintly chuckled. "I don't count, nor keep any."

"Heh, well I guess that's one way to keep them at bay," His friend shrugged. "Don't like being tied down, huh?"

"I guess," He let out a small smile.

"You should ask your dad if you can visit me in Osaka sometime," Shinpei said. "There are some cool places there too. I'd show you around."

"That would be cool," Kazuya nodded. His cellphone began to ring in his pocket. He took it out and flipped it open. It was Jin.

"Aren't you gonna answer that?" His friend asked when his cellphone continued to ring.

Kazuya rejected the call and flipped it back inside his pocket. "Nah."

The car reached its goal and flashed number one on the screen. Kazuya roared at his victory. The boy beside him groaned at his loss.

"Man, five years later and I still can't beat you at racing games," Shinpei snorted as he stood up from his seat on the row of racecar games at the arcade. "This really sucks."

"Yeah, that kinda worries me," Kazuya grinned. The arcade was loud with background music from all sorts of games around them as they made their way past an air hockey table. "It's like you're going to stay that way forever."

"Yeah well, I have a life," Shinpei laughed, placing his hands inside the pocket of his jeans. "And that's beyond the arcade."

"Whatever," Kazuya shook his head as he adjusted his backpack over his shoulders. It was the following afternoon after class and he was with Shinpei at the gaming center downtown.

"Your parents know I'm around, right?" Shinpei asked as the both of them stepped out onto the sidewalk. "Can't I have dinner at your place or something? I miss your mom's cooking."

"You're a fucking freeloader," Kazuya laughed. "And if I said you're not welcome?"

"I can always give your house a call and your parents will know what an ungrateful son they've raised."

Kazuya had only opened his mouth in retort when his cellphone began to ring. Shinpei was still grinning at him when he took the mobile from his pocket and told him to shut the hell up.

The smile on his lips disappeared when he looked at his phone. Jin was calling him again.

"You got some pesky girl running after you or something?" Shinpei asked when Kazuya remained staring at his cellphone.

"Something like that," he muttered. Knowing he had no choice, he brought the mobile to his ear and finally answered it. He narrowed his eyes. "What?"

"You finally pick up," Jin's smirking voice said on the other line. "Where were you yesterday?"

"I had to go home right after," he replied, turning around and lowering his voice when Shinpei's gaze fell curious on him. "My mom got sick."

"I see," Jin murmured, leaning back to the seat of his car. "And how do you plan to make up for things?"

Kazuya brought a hand to the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes. "Uh, I don't know. I guess I'll just meet you twice next week or something."

Jin looked outside his window. Kazuya was on the other side of the road beside his friend.

"That's fine," he said. "Where are you now?"

Kazuya was tempted to say it was none of his business, but he opted for "I'm at home."

"Very well," Jin quietly replied, his gaze unwavering from the boy across the street. "I'll see you next week."

Kazuya hung up without another word. He suddenly felt an arm around his shoulders.

"I'm hungry, man. Let's crash your place already," Shinpei grinned, pulling him close. "Who the hell was that?"

Kazuya faintly smiled as the two of them began walking. "Some pesky girl."

Even from inside his car, Jin could hear the laughter of the two young men across the street. He merely watched them in silence before they turned left and disappeared down the next block.

"Let's go," Jin said as the car began to move on its way.

Kazuya was trying to study in his room the following evening when his cellphone began to ring again. He averted his gaze from the book in front of him to the flashing mobile on his study desk. The frown on his lips was instant upon seeing Jin's name on the screen.

"What the hell do you want now?" he grumbled without answering it. He let it ring for a few more seconds before he finally picked it up with a sigh.

"What?" he wearily asked.

"Good evening, Kazuya-kun," Jin lightly began. "I trust you are at home right now?"

"Yeah," he muttered. "What do you want?"

"I want you to meet with me now."

"What?" He creased his forehead. "I can't go out now. It's already late. Besides, I meet you only on Wednesdays, remember?"

"You're also supposed to visit me once a week, remember?"

"Look, I told you," The boy replied in exasperation. "My mom was sick the other day. I couldn't go."

"It disappoints me that you say this to me, Kazuya-kun," Jin said. "I don't like liars."

Kazuya fell silent for several seconds. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You didn't go home immediately last Wednesday," The man stated. "You were with that friend of yours. Shinpei, was it?"

Kazuya immediately sat up straighter from his seat and gripped his cellphone tighter in his hand. "Don't you fucking go near him, Jin."

"My, aren't we defensive," Jin softly chuckled on the other line. "Is he your boyfriend?"

"He's a childhood friend," he corrected through gritted teeth. "Stay away from him."

"Why did you lie to me, Kazuya-kun?" The man asked. "You could've just told me you were with a friend."

Kazuya fought not to slam his fist on the desk in aggravation. "I didn't want to risk involving him."

"Well, you made the wrong move."

The boy's eyes slowly widened. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

"How important is this Shinpei to you?"

Kazuya immediately rose from his seat. "What the fuck did you do to him?!"

"Meet with me now and I'll tell you."

Kazuya's hands began shaking. His voice trembled in his urge not to shout. "Where are you?"

"I'm at your school."

He ended the call without another word. He swiftly changed into a shirt and jeans and grabbed his cellphone and jacket before storming out of his room.

Kazuya would've found it almost funny to be going to school at half past ten in the evening.

It was easy sneaking out of the house. It wasn't the same sneaking into school premises at night.

Kazuya stared at the building beyond the locked gates of his school. Was Jin really inside, or was that bastard just pulling his leg?

Jaw hardening in furious frustration, Kazuya took out the mobile from his pocket and called Jin's number.

"Where the hell are you?" he ruthlessly began when the other line picked up. "I'm at the school gates."

"Then go inside," Jin replied. "I'll be waiting in your classroom."

"Wait, how the hell can I get in?" The boy asked in disbelief. "The gates are locked."

"Surely you can climb over, can't you?"

"Fuck this," Kazuya hissed, abruptly ending the call. He put his hands to his sides and stared at the gates before him. Then, with a heavy sigh, he brushed his hands on the back of his jeans and began scaling one of the main gates. He nimbly landed on all fours several seconds later and looked around the dim campus before proceeding inside the main building.

The main doors were strangely unlocked as he began making his way to the third floor of the building where his classroom was. The entire place was dark save for the light from the fire exits, but the moon was high and bright tonight and shed its light on the hallways. The sound of his sneakers skidding on the floor bounced off the walls and echoed down the entire corridor.

Kazuya arrived in front of his classroom and swiftly slid the door open. The sound of it was loud in the silence of the building and would resonate several floors below.

Jin stood by the window with his back turned on him. The moonlight illuminated only half of the classroom, leaving everything else and the half of Jin's body clothed in darkness.

"I'm here," Kazuya began, breathlessly stepping inside the room. "Where's Shinpei??"

Jin slowly turned around and leaned his back on the windowsill. "Glad you could come tonight, Kazuya-kun."

"Where the fuck is Shinpei?!" The boy impatiently demanded.

Jin softly chuckled and shook his head. "Oh, sometimes you are so easy, kid."

"What the fuck are you talking about??" Kazuya moved a few steps closer and clenched his fists in rage. "What the hell did you do to my friend?!"

"Nothing, Kazuya-kun," The man laughed. "Look at you, coming in here barely beside yourself. Did you even bother calling your friend to check?"

The boy fell silent and stared at him for several seconds. "What the fuck..."

"That Shinpei must really be someone special to you huh?" Jin asked, leaning away from the window and slowly walking to him. "You bit my bait like a shark."

"What the..." Kazuya half-laughed, half-stuttered. "Are you telling me this is a joke??"

Jin merely smiled at him. Kazuya immediately raised his hand to punch him. His fist lodged into the taller man's palm before it hit his face.

"Fuck you, Jin!" he shouted, his fist shaking to get past Jin's hand. "You're a fucking asshole!"

"Shouldn't you be more relieved that your friend's in no harm?" Jin smirked. Kazuya pushed him away and walked to the window, burying his face in his hands in his frustration.

"I can't believe you," The boy whispered. "You made me come all the way here thinking Shinpei was in trouble, when..."

Jin merely watched the other man pace before him. Kazuya took a deep breath and fought to look at him calmly in the eye. "Now that you've managed to make me come here, what the hell do you want?"

Jin closed the distance between them with one effortless stride. He cupped the smaller man's cheek and pulled him close for a kiss.

Kazuya immediately pushed him away and stared at him in disbelief. "What the hell?!"

"You act like we haven't done this before," The man smirked. Kazuya kept moving away from him until he hit the window.

"No, you're crazy," Kazuya laughed. "You didn't pull off this entire shit tonight just to fuck me in a goddamned classroom. What the hell do you want?!"

"To fuck you in this goddamned classroom," Jin murmured, walking to him again and putting a hand on the windowsill to corner him in place. "What's so wrong about that?"

"You're a sick fuck..." he whispered. He looked up at Jin and saw him looking down on him. He fell silent when the man's gaze remained on his face.

"I told you I'll come by twice next week," He looked away, suddenly feeling uncomfortable under his gaze.

"I want you now, Kazuya-kun," Jin murmured in his ear. "Do you know how agonizing it is for me to keep waiting for you every week?"

Kazuya inwardly shuddered. The man's hot breath trailed down his spine in a line of cold, tingling fire.

"You never should've ditched me last Wednesday," he said. "I've just come to get my dues this week, even if it's two days late."

Kazuya found his fingers gripping the windowsill tightly when Jin's lips met his neck. The man's mouth was slow and warm on his skin, carefully moving its way up to his face. Jin's lips paused an inch from his for a heartbeat of a second before he completely claimed the younger man's lips in a deep, long kiss.

Kazuya uneasily pushed away, breathless and disoriented as he clutched the sleeves of Jin's coat tightly in his fingers.

"I'm not fucking you in my classroom," he whispered.

Jin merely smirked, smoothly slipping a hand inside the shirt beneath the boy's jacket. His hand was almost scalding on his skin. Kazuya bit back a gasp.

His jeans were already being undone before he knew it. He felt Jin's fingers around his manhood. He did not stroke him; he simply remained in his hand, and yet just being under his touch already sent him fighting back a groan.

"Shit..." Kazuya softly cried, throwing his head back and closing his eyes shut when Jin's lips enclosed around his shaft. He thought his knees would almost give way when Jin took him in his mouth deep and slow.

"Jin, please..." he groaned. "Stop it..."

The man heeded to his request and rose to his full height again. Jin was no longer smiling. There was nothing but the dead weight of his dark brown gaze upon him. The sheer seriousness of it sent all the hair on Kazuya's skin standing.

"Turn around," he quietly said.

Kazuya inaudibly swallowed and did as he was told. He suddenly felt Jin's arms around him, undoing the zipper of his jacket and removing it from him. He raised Kazuya's shirt and wrapped an arm around his waist as the boy rested his hands on the windowsill. The younger man gasped once more at the feel of Jin's hand feeling his stomach and his chest, gently raking the skin with his warm fingertips. He felt his lips on his back, trailing light, feathery kisses along its curve.

Jin's hand was on his manhood again, now gently stroking his length in his palm. Kazuya opened his eyes to the familiar feel of the cold and wet substance that slipped between his legs. He unconsciously arched his back at the feel of it, and Jin's lips settled on the side of his neck. He could feel the man's hot breath on his shoulder as Jin pulled him closer. He felt Jin's hardness pressing on his lower back.

Kazuya brought his hands to the windowsill again. Jin's hand moved down his back, angling his body as he pointed the tip of his manhood at the boy's entrance. Kazuya groaned when Jin began to enter inside him, his every inch slow and careful until his entire length was inside him. He felt Jin on his back, moving closer, lodging deeper and pausing for several seconds, allowing him to feel the steady fullness of him inside him. Kazuya closed his eyes, a faint breath of pleasure escaping his lips when Jin slowly began to pull back. He was suddenly empty and the urge to be filled again was so dire it was almost maddening.

Even without words, Jin knew the agony of the boy's body and slowly entered him again, keeping his pace in a long and deep rhythm. In the silence of that classroom, Kazuya's groans became louder and his breath began to escalate. Jin could see the thin sheet of sweat glisten along Kazuya's back and reveled at the beautiful sight of the boy beneath him, bathed in the moonlight.

Jin closed his eyes as his thrusts began to gain speed and pressure. Kazuya seemed to pull him in deeper and tighter than the last. He placed his other arm on the windowsill beside Kazuya's hand, his mouth next to his ear as he moved inside him harder and faster.

Kazuya could hear Jin's low and controlled groans in his ear. The man's breath felt like hot steam on his skin as he arched his back once more. He felt Jin's arm around his waist to pull him close again. His knees began to tremble. He was fast reaching his limit.

Kazuya let out a low cry as he began to come. He heard that deep and low growl from Jin and felt him begin to fill him up with his own release. He held on to the windowsill again, feeling that warm tingle filling him down to his toes the moment Jin pulled away from him.

There was nothing but the sound of their breathing for several seconds until Kazuya felt Jin behind him again, the fabric of his coat brushing against his flushed skin.

"I'm returning to Shanghai."

Kazuya's eyes fluttered open. He slowly stood up straighter and turned to face the man, who was now tidying himself. Kazuya wordlessly watched him straighten his coat, almost flinching when those dark brown eyes fixed their heavy gaze on him again.

"Will you be coming back?" The boy quietly asked. Jin said nothing. Kazuya's gaze fell to the floor.

He saw Jin raise his hand to touch his face. He brushed the side of Kazuya's jaw with his thumb and gently tilted his head for their eyes to meet once more. There was a shadow of a smile on his lips.

"I'll be gone for a month," he said. "That means when I come back you'll have to fuck me at least twice a week if you want to catch up."

Kazuya returned the smile. In the darkness of the classroom Jin didn't know if it was out of relief or exasperation. He would never really know.

He neared his face again. He gave Kazuya a slow, gentle kiss.

It was the first time they would kiss after doing it.
