Paper? That's so... quaint.

Say a favorite author of yours has released a novella, but released it only as an ebook. It can be downloaded in lots of interesting file formats, but all you have to read it on are your computer and possibly an iPod. It's around 90 pages - not too long, but not a quick read by any means.

How would you read it?

Me, I'm leaning towards printing it, although I think Megan may disown me for that. I sit in a desk chair and stare at a computer all day, and by the end of the day I really want to curl up on the couch (or the floor, or whatever) and not look at a computer. (This may have something to do with why I'm not online so much anymore....) So I need something portable, and easy on the eyes. A Kindle, apparently, might work - but I don't feel like dropping $200 (plus or minus) just now. So it seems like the solution is to print it (duplexed, of course), staple it, read it, then stick it on the bookshelf just as I would any other book.

But at the same time, I feel like there has to be a better solution out there. I mean, I'm not scared of technology (generally). I like my computer. I just nead a reader-friendly solution here. Does it have to involve flattened tree pulp?
