Friday: Went to the Science Museum. It was pretty neat. Had lots of... sciency things. My favorite section was the space area. It's amazing how proud you get of your country's accomplishments when you arent in that country. Everything they had was from NASA pretty much. I even went and saw the Magnificent Moon 3D Imax movie... it made me cry. Did anyone know that one of the astronauts who went to the moon left behind a picture of his family in hopes that someone will find it someday?
Friday Later: Toured the BBC Television Center. It was awesome! We actually got to watch shows being filmed. Apparently the BBC just discovered that they dont have a license to entertain an audience (you need a license for this?) so they were breaking the law when we happened to be in the observation room when a rehearsal of 'SOmething Dance Fever' (their version of dancing with the stars) was occuring. But we as marketing, design, and mass comm students are so awesome that they let us watch anyways.
Saturday: Spent most of the day walking up and down Oxford Circus shopping :) Most of the stores are waaaay out of my price range, even if those prices where in US dollars. But I fell in love with H&M and a store called Oasis. H&M has such cute clothes for unbelievably prices, and Oasis is moderately priced but very 'in' clothing. I also picked up 3 books from Borders cause Ive already read 2 of the 3 I brought from home.
Saturday Evening: Went to Leicester Square for dinner (Burger King cause of my free whopper coupons) and to people watch. I considered going to see a Movie, but the Da Vinci Code was completely sold out and they were all really high priced. I was considering seeing the Da Vinci code sometime while Im over here... but Im not so sure I wanna pay £13.50 ($21.60) to see a movie when I have a Showcase Gift Card sitting at home. So I just got some Baskin Robbins and went home.
Sunday: Windsor Castle! Oh my gosh, I need to marry a prince. I wanna live in a pretty castle like that and have cool guards who dont smile. The Castle was sooo pretty (minus the rainy day). Eton, the town it's in, was so cute and adorable. I wanted to spend time roaming the streets, but we had to get back so Gina could catch her plane back to Italy. Psh.
All in all it was a pretty successful weekend. I tend to keep myself busy which is probably best.
Next weekend is Ireland! :) Im super excited.
