Hypothesis: There is a method to making the first day of classes palatable to both professors and students.

- Find a demonstation that is bombastic yet safe and simple.
- Interact with students in a down-to-earth manner: don't talk above them.
- Be humorous with faculty.
- Offer discounts at store for all who attend their first-day classes.
- Invite professors to coffee in town after classes end this evening.
