Why must I be cursed with such Popularity?
I logged off for about 30 minutes to try out a different release of Ubuntu to see if the sound problems were fixed with my model of laptop. That was the only problem I had with it when I tried before, but it was a critical one. Right now I'm running Mepis, and it's got a few problems, but it's operational for day to day stuff. If I could get Ubuntu to work, however, I could get a Virtual OS installed so I could run XP that way, which would make all my Windows programs that won't work in Wine usable again. It looks like it's going to work, I just need to figure out the wireless settings with the driver work around for Ubuntu.
Anyway, being logged off for that short length of time was apparently enough for people to start freaking out. I suppose it's not really a big deal, it just annoys me when I've been on all day, and people feel the need to bug me about stupid crap that could wait until I'm done and actually have time.
