War.... War never changes...

I've gone back to post-apocalyptia the last few days... Alright, I've been in it since the day after release. Despite the bugs, and the fact that I probably don't hit minimum system requirements, I'm loving Fallout: New Vegas. I don't mind the occasional crash on PC games, I save often enough that it usually doesn't set me back more than 20 minutes. It's the sound issues the game has that really makes me frown. I lose everything but ambient sounds after awhile. Which when you're getting shot at... well that can be annoying. Especially when I miss what some of the non-quest NPCs say. You see, part of the fun of Fallout is the dark humour of the game.

Quirky, neurotic, psychotic, brooding, cheery, the characters amuse me.

I also have some issues with the draw distance and sometimes things not showing up until I'm right on top of them... or through them. >_>; But that's okay, I can just think of them as Final Fantasy style random encounters.

There are a lot more factions in this game, so you can actually be a bad character and have quests and not have everyone hate you. That is REALLY good. You can actually make food, and ammo, recharge ammo, mod weapons, get cybernetic implants, the only thing missing is vehicles and being able to wash the dirty/grimy clothes... considering there is detergent everywhere I would have thought that possible.

One more thought... fuck Deathclaws.
