I abhor the word cliche.
Exactly what does it mean?
I wish it would go away.
I am starting to go green.

We all speak the same words
As we hear them every day.
So then if I say hello to you
Will you say "oh that's so cliche?"

Originality has it's place;
Of this I have not doubt.
But for goodness sakes please listen,
For now I want to shout!

I hate the word cliche
And I love repetition.
If you don't see it my way
You have a sorry cliched condition.

Trite

Now lets visit the word trite
I hate it with all my might.
The dictionary calls it boring,
Something that turns you to snoring.
I love crisp and creative writes
Fresh lines often lend a bite.
Yet, nothing under the sun is new.
Well, maybe just a word or two.
I guess I am not all that bright.
Cause I use lines that are trite.
Just like this weary old write.....
