So, the wife and I got back from our trip this weekend just fine. It was a good time, though I have to remember that walking over hill and dale takes a bit more energy than I generally have, especially with grumpy pins. I got to see some people that I haven't been able to see for some time, and I've found myself challenged in a positive way to get some of my long-term goals done in a timely manner.
Occasionally I get into the mindset where I feel like I don't make much of an impact on people and the world, but I had that attitude challenged as well. Which is a good thing; the feeling is part of the depression I cycle through...which is at least held back for the time being. I know part of the slump is because I need to take better care of myself and see what I can do to get my legs back in order. I have a doctor's appointment to make, which I'm going to do.
Work has been quiet, but things are a little stressy. Not at me directly, but...well, more on this part when I find out more info.
Taking this week to recoup my spirits, then starting next week I'm diving into getting some stuff done that I've putting off for years. I'll explain in a separate post, but I started something a while ago, and its way past time to get it done. Since we're now in the dark half of the year, it's a good time to get cracking. :-)
