Disposing of the body is not a simple endeavor. A sealing scroll does not negate the power of his jutsu. Trying to burn the scroll would only backfire.

The body can be damaged repeatedly, but never destroyed. His head must be dealt with first and separately.

*He's silent for a moment, trying to decipher what Kakashi just said. Captured and sealed the body of Hidan...that sounded somewhat...off.*

You have the Akatsuki-nin sealed in a scroll? Alive? How did you manage that? How long can you keep him sealed? Perhaps we can bargain the rest of the Akatsuki members' compliance with it.

Akatsuki are not Konoha shinobi. They do not put as much weight on the wellbeing of their "teammates," unless it benefits them. You will gain nothing from trying to bargain with worthless goods.

Hidan arrived in Somarium decapitated... *a pause* He's the one who killed Asuma, Yondaime-sama. *another pause* I managed to seal his body, but was interrupted by Kisame before I had the chance to do anything about his head.

*Itachi makes a noise that sounds like a cross between a huff of exasperation and a "hn" of comprehension.*

Kisame will be your biggest concern, should he choose to assist Hidan in reclaiming his body.

*Another hum. It seems like Kakashi has thought of this already. It wouldn't be wise to ask Itachi to convince Kisame to stay out of it either, as that would blow Itachi's cover and influence in Akatsuki.*

*Minato absorbs the information thoughtfully, and then a rather queer expression flits across his face.*

You mean to tell me there's a talking head rolling around Somarium?

*He pauses to think about what danger that could pose. It takes an uncharacteristically long time for him to think of any plausible dangers that don't make him want to snort. What would the head do? Roll around and trip people? Bite them? Then again, Kisame could lug the head around, since the blue shark-man is the real danger from what Itachi says.*

Well, for now, hold off doing anything to the body. We still don't know what happens when you "die" here again, and we have no idea what will happen if we do burn his body.

It would be best if it were kept by someone they would not expect to have it. They will be looking for you, Kakashi...*He pauses*...so giving it to Yondaime-sama for safe-keeping is a sound solution, if only a temporary one.

Yes, that would be best under the circumstances. Since neither of the Akatsuki members in pursuit of the body know of my presence here.
