Whom the God would DESTROY

Bryan and I had a very nice afternoon out. It was a sort of magical day where we found things we had been wanting. Like a good Chinese place. And Lucky Strikes, which are actually the best cigarette I've ever tried.

Then we went to a little comic book store.. that was actually a real comic book store. Like not the kind with five shelves or back-bound manga and Inuyasha dolls. One that sells American comics. Like.. they had some manga, but it was just kind of scattered about and OLD. Old enought that no one even called it manga. They were just other comics, and if some Mushimushi Yamagutchi wrote them, whatever. Buy them, translate them, print them left to right. I bought The first story arc of Genocyber for $2.00. I'm not even sure why, but it was a good buy. And I have a soft spot for guys in power armor.

Then I found the Hercules: Prince of Power trade paperback. I have been looking for the rest of Hercules ever since Uncle Matt gave me issues 3 and 4 on my 13th birthday. He's alays collected comics, and he thought it was cute to give me a bunch from 1983 since it's my birthyear. Unfortunately he didn't give me any thing complete. I have Hercules 3-4, Omega Men 1, The Saga of Crystar 1, obnoxio the Clown vs. The X-men 9a pretty amusing one-shot,) Robin 1, Detective Comics Anniversary (Batman's 5ooth appearance, includes like every villian he ever fought. Pretty cool,) and the 50th anniversary issue of the Green Lantern, signed by Mart Nodell. Whoever that is. So, it's rpetty awesome stuff, but I have always wanted to finish off the series I have. Finding the Hercules trade paperback is pretty awesome.

Pretty much, Hercules is in space with his robot friend Recorder. He flies around in a chariot, kicks alien ass, and says things like 'Yea, verily!' It is possibly the best comic ever.

Bryan got a couple of cool things too, like the Street Fighter comic. It comes with a poster! DAMN!
