I'm a sickly one...
So... I'm finally updating again. I'm sorry I haven't updated in such a while... I just been so damn busy. Anyway... these last few weeks of school have been a nightmare. Everything just came together at the same time: Juries, Midterms, Guys and Dolls, College Application, regular schoolwork... I just was having such a hard time keeping it together.
Guys and Dolls went very well. I took my part, and did what I could with it, and I believe I was successful at it. I just had a hard time coping with the people that just thought it was one big game. I really take theatre seriously because it is, afterall, the thing I want to spend my life doing. Some other cast members were just so unprofessional, it drove me crazy. They would try to come up with little inside pranks to pull on stage. And there was one night they thought it would be a really hillarious idea to do a chase scene back and forth across the back of the stage during intermission. When it comes to playing around during a show, I just don't find the humor. I think it just makes the show look like a regular high school show, rather than a performing arts conservatory show.
Anyway... some good news: I got an A on my acting jury! In fact, I got the highest grade in my class, a 3.85! Woop! So that certainly brightened my week quite a bit.
So... what's goin' on now? Right now I'm sick. I had a terrible Saturday; 'Cappella Pop had to perform, and it was a horrific show because of my and Dominique's sicklyness (but mostly my sicklyness). Now it's Monday, and I'm still pretty damn sick. My throat hurts so much. I have so many things to do today. I have to get a new cell phone, I have to go to an orthodontist appointment, I have to go to a meeting for the next mockumentary we're making (like the one at camp, "Lost in the Wild and in the Mind"), and I have to go to Emily Lanster's house for dinner because Stuart Fingeret is in town and he'll be there! That was a long sentence. So... anyway, my cousin, Chad, who I haven't seen in about 2 years, was in town this weekend with a friend of his. It was nice seeing him. We saw King Kong, wich I liked a lot. But man... I really fuckin' hate Jack Black. If there was one thing that ruined the movie for me, it was that asshole. He just had to be that stupid character of his... again, didn't he? I can't stand him. And the movie takes place in the early 20th century, so you can just imagine how out-of-place Jack Black was. Mister School of Rock fuckin' dumb-ass. God... who in the right mind would cast him in their movie?
Ok... so... I have some work to do now. I need to get ready for this long day, and I have lots of college apps to do before I go to NYC!!! WOOOO!!! I can't fuckin' wait! I've been using the "F" word a lot today, haven't I? I'll stop.
So... one more thing before I go, I auditioned for the School for Film and Television this Saturday, and it went very well! YAY! Go Matt! We'll see what happens... though I'm not really that interested in that school. But hey, making it into a college is kool no matter what.
