TVD 4x23
Lj is FINALLY letting me post, so before I start with the episode reaction: I'm alive, my lj is no longer suspended (it was a glitch), and the ficathon is still alive and kicking.
The Good:
- The Damon/Elena stuff, OMG. No apologies, yelling at each other, being dramatic, then a kiss. Good. A special moment of glee for the face-slapping moment, because this is how I roll. Seriously though, I will never be over the 12yo idiotic "I WON'T APOLOGIZE!" "FINE, I WON'T APOLOGIZE EITHER!" "LET'S MAKE OUT!" :D. (I'll have legit thoughts after I've rewatched s4, I will, I will.)
- The doppelganger stuff. CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW KATHERINE IRRATIONALLY BLAMES ELENA FOR EVERYTHING, THEN TRIES TO KILL HER SHADOW SELF AND BECOMES HUMAN IN RESULT? Because I'm not over it, and I might not be over it for a good while.
- No human!Damon.
- Alaric kicking ass like some freaking Rambo XD. I embrace it.
- Elena being Elena.
The Bad:
- BONNIE BENNETT :(((((((((((. In which universe is this a good idea for Bonnie to trade her life for Jeremy's? :( From a narrative perspective, that last scene with Jeremy, in which Bonnie completely ERASES HER OWN DEATH made tons of sense, but this whole idea leaves such a bad taste in my mouth, I can't :(.
- The Matt/Rebekah. Thank you, Matt, for being an entitled, patronizing dick.

- STEFAN HAS A DOPPELGANGER. ABORT MISSION. STEFAN HAS A DOPPELGANGER, AND HE JUST GOT DROPPED INTO THE WATER IN A HUGE SAFE, ANGEL-STYLE. HE'S GONNA SPEND THE WHOLE SUMMER IN A BOX AT THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN QUARRY, ANGEL-STYLE. STEFAN HAS A DOPPELGANGER, I REPEAT, STEFAN HAS A DOPPELGANGER.
