Yeah, I have a WEIRD relationship with this "he's going to teach her" scene. Because the dialogue made me cringe, but their faces slain me. So now I'm sitting here and having TONS OF TEENAGE FEELINGS about a scene I didn't even like!

#I am pathetic, just like Damon

LOL, the dialogue was cheesy, but with the Stefan/Caroline scene from before and how cheesy and ridiculously melodramatic that was, I wasn't too upset over it.

Was more into their faces and touching and such.

TONS OF FEELINGS.

But I want fic now of him "teaching" her and all the ways, she breaks his bones to learn strength (and anger to get back at him for the shit he's pulled) and drinking from him to learn to test her limit and recognizing when to stop.... and sex.

The Stefan and Caroline scene was actually better than I expected? But then, I had really low expectations. The D/E was worse than I expected, but I had ridiculously high expectations. In conclusion: I shouldn't have expectations...

UNF YOUR FIC IDEA. UNF.

Ahhh, see I trained myself out of having expectations since so much of last week bothered me. But I really didn't like the way that the show is again making it a joke what Stefan has done and trying to say that the Ripper is a separate entity from him. And plus, I am totally now seeing the show pulling some kind of angst and martyrdom thing with Stefan giving Elena up so he doesn't hold her back. But we shall see.

IT JUST NEEDS TO EXIST. ALL THE WAYS HE CAN "TEACH" HER.

Oh, what bothered you last week? If you don't mind me asking.

The "external" Ripper is bullshit. Someone in the show needs to point out to how idiotic it is. And I am a bit worried about Stefan giving up Elena because he's being ~selfless. But there was something of value in what Stefan said? Because he hinted that he can't be with her when she's a happy vampire. He can't handle her being a vampire and happy. He can't accept her the way she is. That is not so heroic. That is selfish. I'd like the show to explore that.

Hammer was the only option.

Though it did occur to me, as I was watching his scene with Caroline, that maybe Stefan was more in love with Elena's humanity than the actual girl.

I'm inclined to agree. I mean, Stefan is repulsed by his own vampirism, so it would be strange if he wasn't repulsed by Elena's as well. He's genuinely conflicted about it, and it's more or less how I expected him to be in s4. What I'm (pleasantly) surprised about is that he actually said it out loud.

And was he implying that being a vampire improved Caroline as a person but that Elena's changing into something less than what she was? I read it more like "being a vampire improved Caroline, but it's too early to tell what it will do to Elena ( ... )
