Aaaaand now I need you to post in English so I can understand it (because I am lame, and unlike at least half of my flist, I only do one language fluently). Or maybe you already did? I can't possibly run it through a translate program cause they come up with crazy shit!

Sorry, right now this is in Polish only :). And I'm not sure if I'm going to translate this fic; I can write in both Polish and English, but I'm not fully bilingual and I find it very difficult to translate my own work :(.

If that's any consolation, I have another Damon/Katherine fic scheduled for Dec 3, and this one was prompted by an English-speaking person, so it'll be in English. Or, if you're desperate to know what's here, I can try to translate it and send it to you via Private Messages, but I warn you: this will be a rough translation :(.

That's ok. I can manage to hold out for another couple of days! Interesting that you find it tricky to translate your own work. Friends of mine who are bilingual say that it's difficult because you actually think in the other language and so it's hard to find the same phrases in a different language. Is that your experience?

Yes, that's more or less how it feels :). When I write in English, I think in English, when I write in Polish, I think in Polish, and it's very hard to re-create the process and find things that would mean what I want them to mean and be correct at the same time. I tried it once, a friend corrected the English version, and now the fic's been waiting for a month, because in order to make everything right, I have to forget the Polish phrasing. It's easier from forgein to native.
