life is good.
i got a good grade on my adolescent lit exam and tomorrow I'm meeting with the professor to discuss our upcoming research paper. i per usual have big ideas, and need to get them checked out before I do anything silly that gets me a bad grade. i want to write about "I Was a Teenage Fairy" by Francescia Lia Block as it's a coming of age novel and deals with mirror images and magic in respect to being a coming-of-age novel. The problems I may have with this are that:
1. We haven't read anything by Block
2. We haven't talked about mirror images.
But I think I can convince her. We'll see.
Went on a date on Monday. Yes, a date. Me. It'd been awhile.
The boy is nice and I'm seeing him again Friday. He's taking me out for ice cream.
Katie and I met up yesterday and made a list of 10 apartments to call and look at next week. Some of them look too cheap to be true, but with the options we have I feel like we'll find the perfect fit.
4 weeks from today I'll have 6 months sober. I already have plans for a new tattoo when I hit a year. a sunflower, ie Ginsberg's Sunflower Sutra; it will have 12 petals and for every year I will get another leaf on a stem.
