Okay, all you clamouring for some news/whatever from me, sit back, grab your popcorn, kick up the old feet, and go wild. First off, the summer's going to be fun, I finally got all my job stuff set up. Yay having money. Finals don't seem to eye-rapingly horrible, so I'm not too pissed off about them, got one more thursday, then friday I go back home. Here's where the good news ends, of course.
There's a magical thing called responsibility, and being a fucking adult, no matter how old you are. There are two moments right now that are just plain making me want to lube up and start skull fucking stupid people into oblivion. Dear readers, you're all aware of how my romantic life over the past few years has been, well... [b]fucked up[/b]. The last week was no change. Gal I've known for ages, and had a crush on for a bit, ended up hooking up with me tuesday. Okay, cool. We hadn't seen each other for a while, and from what she had said, she was interested. Okay. Saturday, I find out not only does she still keep in touch with her ex-fiance, but two other blokes. Wow, love pentagon. Now, of course, the "I didn't want to lead you along" comes into play. That's something that's a fuckin cop out if you ask me. If you want to have a one night stand, then hope it won't change a friendship, go ahead. BUT MAKE IT CLEAR THAT YOUR INTENTION IS SUCH. HOW FUCKIN HARD IS IT TO SAY "It was nice sleeping with you, but I only want to be your friend, this is a one time thing." My response to such an utterance? "Okay, I understand" AND I'D FUCKING MEAN IT. Don't attempt to keep me around while you try to sort out what's in your head.
This gal is cool as hell, but unfortunately that means only in friend state, she's pretty messed when it comes to romance. Figures.
Second moment of asshattery? Somebody who forgets that the real world exists, and that it IS out to get you. This situation isn't solved yet, but it's quite possible I'm going to be the bad guy in this. Whooptie shit, but the first person who tries to claim "well, they're your friend, why are you making them have to live with their parents next year? You're just two faced." is going to recieve the stabby dance, a beautiful waltz where one's internal organs get the suggestion to become external organs, leaving all their happy connections behind.
Of course, people reading this have an idea of what I'm talking about, and I'm going to make it patently clear, if I haven't already. Someone may be my friend, but if they're putting me in a situation where they clearly show their illresponibility, and haven't done a single fucking thing to allieviate my concerns, I will be mean. There will be no further prejudice against them if the situation is solved, one way or another. But I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING REFUSE TO BE PUT IN A SITUATION WHERE MY ASS COULD BE ON THE LINE BASED ON ILLRESPONSIBILITY THAT'S FUCKING BLATENTLY OBIVOUS.
Of course, there's going to be drama from this, if it goes the way I think it will. Well, tough shit kids. Respect your elders, show them you deserve respect in more than one domain. Otherwise, in specific domains you will be known as an asshat, and I will not deal with asshattery, especially when I have damn near a grand on the line, and you have siginificantly less.
