I definitely don't always read serious or meaningful stuff... sometimes I just read fluff. As with this book, "Whiteout", by Ken Follett. Follett is well-known for action-adventure-espionage books, and "Whiteout" is definitely action-adventure.
The setup: Thieves plan and attempt a raid on a medical testing facility in order to steal samples of a new anti-viral medication.
Overall, a quick and light read, but some of his characterizations were, well, weak and cheesy. There's not really much more to say. A fun read, but nothing particularly deep or overly memorable about it.
