So, it took what I think came down to Divine Intervention, but I was able to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest last night. I say Divine Intervention because I totally wanted to see it on Opening Day, but I had two sets of plans with two different people fall through, and I was afraid that I was going to have to see it by myself (which, I hate seeing movies alone anyway, but especially this one). However, I ended up going with one of my girls from work (thanks again, Jess!) to the 11 pm show (yes, 11 pm...the three earlier showtimes were already sold out by the time I got to the theater). The movie was awesome, however, the freakin' theater was SO COLD that Jessica and I both sat there for 2 1/2 hours shivering because we were completely freezing...so that didn't help things, so I think I probably missed parts of the movie because I was so focused on how cold I was. Darn, that means I'll have to go see it again.
On a different movie note, my dad left for his annual prairie dog hunting trip to Montana today, so my mom and I went to Hollywood Video tonight to get movies for the week! We pick a different theme each time we do this (last time, it was Robert DeNiro movies), and this time, we decided to just pick six movies that neither of us had seen (we thought it'd be a more difficult task, because I've seen a lot of movies!!). We got: Six Degrees of Seperation (a totally RANDOM Will Smith/Stockard Channing movie that was made in like, 1993...if you want off-the-wall, watch it!), The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Made, Emma, In Good Company, and Thirteen Conversations About the Same Thing. We only watched the Will Smith one tonight, so we'll do more when I get home from work tomorrow.
I also bought 4 new movies last week. Damn Best Buy and Target for having really good sales!!
