I cannot even fathom why there's been such a backlash with the "Read a Book" video. I mean.. seriously. The Rev. Jessie Jackson has gotten in on this. Really? REALLY. He devoted a whole radio show to it; saying such bullshit as "Music shouldn't pull us down, it should bring us up". WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT? Has he heard any music since the Commodores? Does he realize the top song a few summers ago was about fifty cent trying to get me to lick his lollipop? Or how great kelis' milkshakes are? What about some guy yelling 'eybabe' at me at a club while ms. new booty is blaring in the background? All of these songs i've heard my 10 year old sister sing, curse words included, and Mr. Jackson is getting all pissy because the song tells the listener to wear deoderant and buy some land? Here.
