Okay, so you know that I am the Social Chairman of the Queer Staight Alliance @ the University...well, this is National Coming Out Week and we are doing a bunch of "in your face" things to get recognized on campus..bc once you begin talking about something so controversial..it gets less controversial. We chalked the Quad tontie and we put up HOT PINK signs everywhere that says "Wear Pink for Gay Rights" referring to Wednesday (actual Coming Out Day) and all this stuff (more on this later)....well...
After all of this goes down and we high five each other and leave campus I get an e-mail from the reporter for the Crimson White, the University of Alabama's newspaper and they wanna do a story on the QSA and what we do all year and what we are going to do for NCOD and all of that! I am sooooooooo excited. She asked so many questions and I answered them all...my answers were long, hah. She asked for my name and major and year and everything...this is amazing to me bc I love this organization so much and I LOVE what it does and it's SO badass to me to get something about gay rights pubilished in a universit of ALABAMA newspaper. This is big...I promise. Yay!
