Despite how ridiculous the idea sounds, it actually works better than you might expect, due largely to the fact that her slashes have the power of wind behind them (thank you, Kipinn). She swings, and the wind blows the snow away.
Of course, as she gets down deeper, the snow gets heavier and harder to push away, so it's slow going. But she'll be at this as long as it takes.
Or until one of her roommates drags her back inside to rest. Whichever comes first.]
