ASCAP Awards...I went!

So I have just returned from the ASCAP (American Songwriters, Composers, Authors, and Publishers) Awards in Nashville. Now though it was comprised of mostly country artists, I am learning to be more musically tolerant, as it works best for making contacts, and well, getting jobs. I got to see lots of famous people: LeAnn Rhymes, Dierks Bently, John Rich (of Big & Rich), Kenny Chesney, Billy Currington, some of the members of Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, and very randomly, Bon Jovi.

I am taller than Bon Jovi. Which is a little sad, since I'm only 5'5" on a good day.

Actually, Rebecca (whom I went with), "accidentally" pushed Bon Jovi, so we kinda rushed away. It was still pretty cool, even if his new music sucks.

John Rich is definately cleaning up. Besides being in Big & Rich and making millions off of their songs, he's also a very popular songwriter, and has written number one hits for many of country's top artists, including Gretchen Wilson (even if she's a little creepy, he's making a ton of money off of her).

So yeah, saw some cool people, watched some awards, and watched a few performances. It was neato.
