George Carlin left this world yesterday when his heart failed. As a comedian in the 1960s and 1970s Carlin gave us little tid-bits like Shoot, The seven words you can't say on television and The Hippy-Dippy Weatherman. In my youth there were several of routines I could quote verbatim.
In later years, his work turned toward politics and pushing a severely left leaning agenda. I prefer to remember him from his early, light hearted work that left us with tears of laughter.
Good bye George and thanks for the kudos that night so many years ago after your show at Turn of the Century.
