With his critical eye toward the difference between facts and spin Goldberg takes apart everyone's story from Barbara Streisand to Rev. Jesse Jackson.
"Why do so many Americans who ought to know better find the United States to be such a terrible place?" the first sentence in the book reads. And he's right. This book shows you where the some of the loudest people getting the most face time and ink, who are doing the most to shape opinion in this country are also the biggest bullshit artists. This book is right up there with "Bias" in quality and it gave me more then a few laughs along the way.
If you're a died in the wool politically Left or Right thinker with no room to have your vision of reality challenged, give this one a miss. You won't like it.
The big 3 networks don't like the fact that there's a Rush Limbaugh out there, they don't like the fact that there's a Fox News, they don't like the fact that there's a Matt Drudge. They liked it when it was nice, when it was just the three of them. Well, it ain't that way anymore.
