i just deleted a whole paragraph because it was stupid atypical bullshit.
i took pictures of a local band (http://spiraling.net) on friday night at the knitting factory, and some of them came out pretty decent. i feel myself improving, even if i'm really not. i even did some post-processing on them in photoshop (scary). noise ninja's beta photoshop plugin is really working nicely, and i think i will buy it when it goes final and whatnot.
