I dislike the closed season, where the threat of a football-less summer looms over us. I want to be down Upton Park, with the rest of the Hammers fans, screaming on Sherringham as he fires home a hat-trick, not having to watch my videos of seasons past. I'm aware that it is very sad to have videos of old West Ham games, but I do not apologise as I ( Read more... )

Dean, I need to organise to come over some time and look at your work. I'd like to buy Mum a painting for her birthday to brighten up her room (even though she won't necessarily remember where it came from, day to day). If you've got anything bright and cheerful, maybe?

Hello Ernie, how are things with you? Of course you can come over and have a look, I shall seek out my bright and cheerful paintings, there has to be one somewhere, at least. If you'd like I'll do a commission for you, as you're a friend, the going rate I'd charge for non-commissioned works. How does that sound?

Things are pretty normal. Work and spending time out with friends, the usual stuff. You should come out next time - I'm sure it can't be good for you to be cooped up with all those fumes all the time. Although it might be wise to have a good shower before you do, because I'd hate to see a misplaced cigarette send you up in smoke. How flammable is that stuff you use, anyway?

A commission would be lovely, but I'm near useless when it comes to thinking of what. I'll leave that to your artistic genius to think of. Size-wise it doesn't have to be too large because she's only in a small room.

Who needs dope when you're sniffing fixative all the time? It is quite flammable, but I assure you that I wn't explode into messy pieces, and that I do own clothes without paint on, though I've no idea where they are hiding. It would be very nice to come out with you all; it's very strange how I keep more in touch with the Hufflepuffs than the Gryffindors, apart from Ginny and Seamus. But then, who can get rid of Seamus?

What about a peacock? I could put jewels and collage it up with some fabrics, paint over that - something tactile as well as pretty. They are such handsome birds.

See, this is why we need to get you out a bit. I'm sure fixative can't be healthy!

Maybe the rest of your Gryffindors need to you to set an example and encourage them to get out more? There's almost always someone out somewhere to drink with.

Oh, I think she'd love a peacock. I would never think of something like that on my own! I remember she used to have a fancy fan made of peacock feathers when I was little. It matched her robes. I wonder what happened to it...

Lets arrange something; somewhere decent, no disgusting sticky-floored dive where people tend to get beaten up.

I've started work on the peacock, and I do hope you'll like it. Come over one afternoon if you can and I'll show you my etchings.

Not in that way, MacMillan.

I'm working all this weekend, so how about some time next week I come over and check out your work and then we go out for some quiet ones at the Banshee? That way it's a week night, there'll be fewer drunk people, and there shouldn't be any punch ups.

Sounds great with me. Not that I am useless in punch ups, I just rather avoid them, if you see what I mean? Mum would go mad if she thought I'd been brawling.
