BTG Rules
-1- Play both Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance games. Although the second game has more relevance than the first, characters from the first game will appear here and it's plotlines will occasionally be referenced. This game both takes place in and takes some liberties with the Dark Alliance reality, so an encyclopediac knowledge of other Forgotten Realms games and characters is not required, but anyone that is well versed in those areas will certainly not be turned away!
-2- You must have MSN instant messenger and be available for general contact.
-3- Respect is key to anything. Please treat the other players and their characters with respect and at least some degree of friendliness, unless your character is a bitch by nature. We all know how fun that can be to play up to.
-4- If you need help with anything, contact the mods right away.
-5- Mary-Sueing and Godmodding will not be tolerated here. Period.
-6- Try to update your character journal at least once a week, and/or be active in the threads or logs on the main game page. Even just a brief update on your characters activities etc will be accepted.
-7- Post to the OOC community if you are going to be unavailable for over three days at a time.
-8- Your journal is meant for personal reflection on the part of your character or narrative sequences pertaining to your character while the main community page is reserved for RP logs and threads. Narrative journal entries and RP Logs/threads should be in third person and present tense while personal character reflections should reflect thoughts in the first person.
-9- All OOC comments, questions and anything else need to be restricted to the game's OOC community

-10- Pictures, logs of any sizeable length or anything of a graphic kind of nature is to be placed under and LJ-cut, with a warning if one should be required.
-11- While love affairs will occur during this game, they will need to be mod approved and will need to fit into the continuity of the game. Don't expect to be able to sleep with anything that may or may not have a pulse. At this point, the only real relationship is the one between Dorn and Randalla that was hinted at in DAII, but given Dorn's nature this relationship is certainly not set in stone. Slash and femslash may be accepted, but it has to be believable.
-12- You may audition for up to three characters, and you may win all of them if you are good enough, but you can only audition for one lead character. Specifically, you can audition for any one out of Dorn, Allessia, Borador, Ysuran, Adrianna, Vahn or Kromlech, but one is the limit. For example, your auditions for Allessia, Randalla and Alyth would be accepted, but applying for Adrianna, Borador and Dorn is against the rules. It's just more fair if the main characters are all separate people, and it helps keep everything fresh and stuff.
-13- Original characters (OCs) will be accepted, but do not expect your character to have a main role. Applying for a family member of one of the characters would probably be as close as you could get.
-14- While there is one over-arching villain or boss, with this game as in any other, there will be several other bosses along the way. Auditions for the bad guys are not open; if the mods feel that you would be good for the part of one of these characters, you will be contacted in regards to auditioning, but PLEASE do not share the details of this character anywhere. I would like to keep the evil a suprise as long as it is possible. Spoiling this will result in some fairly major consequences.
-15- Use proper English and grammar, unless your character really doesn't use it.
