Okay, weird. I got a phone call today, which in and of itself is weird, since it was a phone call for me on the house phone, not my cell. No one calls me at the house anymore! So, the caller was this woman, I think her name was Katie. Turns out, she's called from A-SCi. I applied to be a part-time lab tech at their company. What makes it weird, is ( Read more... )

Thanks for the good wish! :-) The birthday went well. Kyle was kind of a poo-head at the club. He only drank beer, and he kept himself and his girlfriend fairly isolated from the rest of us. Boo on him! :-( But Bryce got thoroughly inebriated! :-D There are chunks of the night that are missing from his memory, including a twenty minute stretch where we were sitting on that couch in his apartment and he kept repeating the word 'snuggle' over and over again. I'm not sure if he was referring to the bear and its laundry detergent or if he was trying to indicate the word 'cuddle'. :-P The rest of the weekend was fairly lazy, and involved me driving way the hell out to Ridgedale just to get frozen yogurt at Marshall Field's with his childhood friend and his wife. Bah. They weren't a lot of fun either. :-P

Well, they just suck oozing donkey dick.
Anyway.

What did they think of the cake? Were they suprised that you got all Martha Stewart-y?

'Martha Stewart-y'? *Giggles* Well, Bryce did seem kind of surprised, but not too much, since he knows that I love to attempt to bake sweet things. (Mom and Dad don't let me do it very often.) Kyle was rather shocked. They both thought that your decorating ability was great, btw! (Even if part of the red edging melted down the side cuz it was so warm in Bryce's apartment...)

Well thank you, thank you. I'm glad they liked it. But you had enough base frosting on there so that the melting wouldn't have really made a diff anyway. :)

Try starting out with those pre-made, pre-cut cookies. They're fairly foolproof as long as you watch the baking time.
