[That morning, Kyo took his Gible, Torpedo, out to train. The two of them returned to their room at the inn early that afternoon to a surprise that Torpedo handled well, and Kyo... well, didn't

[He moves the camera to focus on the sleek Glameow lying on his bed.] That's a Glameow, the mother. And the father... [Hi, a Persian's head appears on the screen, followed by the rest of its body for a closer look.] Is a Persian, which is the evolved form of a Meowth. Meowths look closer to house cats than he does.
If you want one, then, I can give it to you for a discount since you're new. Like P500?
Sort of. I've never had any of my Pokémon make eggs before, but if they're compatible, they'll make them really quickly if you turn your back on them. Like I did.
They don't have to really like each other, either, I don't think... Suri did it because she's a bitch and Leo tries to get with every female cat Pokémon he sees.
Really? That's so nice, thank you. [ She'd been curiously thinking about them but hadn't really dared ask ] Which one do you think I should have?
[ She giggled. So animal like ] So when they hatch they'll either be one or the other, rather than like a mix of both of them? I guess that keeps it simple.
Uh... [He glances at the cats.] They're both normal-type and learn a lot of dark-type moves... they're pretty similar, really. I can't think of which one would be best. Meowths are more curious and like shiny things, which can be problematic, but Glameows are pretty sassy and scratch more. It depends on their personality, though. I guess just choose whichever looks best to you? I don't know. [He shrugs. It's not really his problem.]
Yeah. The cream ones are Meowth eggs and the blue ones are Glameow.
I think I might keep my shiny things to myself. Could I get a Glameow, please.
[ She's going to try her best to remember all of this so that when she gets to Cherrygrove City she can write everything down in a little notebook. Oh, so hard ]
Yeah, they'll run off with your money and other people's, too, if you don't train them properly.
Okay. I'll have my Charizard fly over to Cherrygrove with an egg. Huge orange dragon, hard to miss. He'll be there in a couple days... probably when you get there.
I think I'd be better off with one of those when I know what I'm doing - if I see any.
Okay, that'll be great, thanks. [ She remembers the picture of the Charizard from earlier. Hopefully he's friendlier than he looks? ] Oh- do you have any tips on what to do? The only eggs I've ever really been near were little chicks in school and they were kept in an incubator.

[Not really, but if you just give him the money, you'll be fine -- and won't have to learn about the meaning behind his name, Chomper.]
Just hold it a lot and keep it warm. It should hatch in a few days.

[ She'll definitely be handing that money over and happily. It's going to be nice. And no... nice Chomper ]
A couple of days? That's pretty fast. Do you know if they sell blankets in Cherrygrove? [ Blankets are very nice and warm ]

They should. The inn has some, anyway. That's probably where you'll want to stay, unless you like camping.

Great, thanks! And thanks again for the egg.

Thanks for buying one. I'm Kyo, by the way.
