[ Video / Action for Goldenrod Inn ]

[ There is fruit in the air. Apples actually.

This fruit flies by the Pokegear apparently not being supported by anything other than the bowl it is sitting in. But what keeps the bowl from falling to the ground? There is no reason why it should be able to levitate like that.

Up.

Down.

Past the remains of a newly ( Read more... )

[The newly hatched ghost Pokemon appears from behind the fruit bowl just long enough to laugh. ]

See? She likes it too.

[And... that is a cute face you are making over there. ]

That is a ghost Pokemon called a Driftloon. She is very mischievous.

She looks fun to chase?

[The Pokemon does drift around the room pretty nicely. It might need to be caught. ]

[This catches his interest and he eventually decides to speak up after watching.]

Excuse me, but what type of pokémon is it?

[Mechanical PokeGear Voice: ]

Drifloon, the Balloon Pokémon. Drifloon is filled with air and can either expand or shrink to express its feelings. It also likes damp weather.

[Eagle answers as soon as the PokeGear has finished speaking. ]

That scanning feature on the PokeGear has a lot of useful information on it. But yes, it is a Drifloon. The Pokemon of a friend of mine had a few eggs and I was lucky enough to be able to keep one.

[ Sakura looks so excited. She thinks eggs are the coolest. ]

I have one, too! [ She holds up an orange and tan egg. ] It'll be a Growlithe!

Do you? Congratulations Sakura! I think taking care of eggs is one of the more fun things one can do in Johto.

Besides when they hatch, the baby Pokemon are very adorable.

[ She giggles. ] I can't wait for mine to hatch! How long do they usually take?

[Giggle matched with a chuckle. ]

It depends on the egg really, but usually they hatch in about a week. I did have one stubborn egg that decided it wouldn’t hatch for nearly three weeks.

[ Well, she was going to register again in the Inn when she looks at that. Oh, well. She remembers when her own pokemon did something like that.

Then she checks the trainer. He was the one that beated her in that Tournament, she remembers. ]

Hey.

[ Might as well talk and that. ]

[Eagle hears the ‘hey’ but has to spend just one moment longer standing on the step ladder to collect all of the apples gliding by through the air by themselves. Once the last one has been safely placed back into its bowl he can step down off the ladder and turn to smile at the visitor. ]

I’m sorry, I was just cleaning up a little mess. My new Pokemon is a bit…
[And recognition! ]

Oh, its Ur, isn’t it? I was wondering how you were doing after the tournament.

Can I help you with anything?
[A gesture to the front desk. ]

Maybe you wanted to check in?

Little pokemons can be troublesome sometimes, I know the feelin'.

[ She chuckles lowly at that. ]

Yeah, that's me. You are Eagle Vision, right? [ Just to make sure and that. ] I've been doin' well, busy with some things over here.

And yeah, I plan to stay here for a bit longer, so I need a room.

She is a cute little ghost but I think she must be very happy to be out of that egg. Baku-chan hasn’t stopped exploring things since she hatched.

[He nods and smiles as she remembered his name correctly. ]

You can just call me Eagle. I am glad to hear you have been doing well. I was wondering what happened to you after our match.

[The bowl of now non-floating apples is set down on the counter while Eagle takes up his former position behind the counter. He had been working here at the inn on and off since he arrived in Goldenrod. ]

How long will you be staying?

[Asked because he was curious and more importantly if she were checking in he would need to know how long she needed the room for. ]
