Another great chapter, indeed!! ^^ And you deliver natural drama yet again! Due to your quite dry descriptions, Gackt and You's interaction feels very real. I mean, it would have been so easy to slip into cheesiness when describing Gackt's fall or the hotel scene, but you never let that happen. I don't know why but when i was reading this chapter, a very old FFVII fanfic came to my mind - "A Long, Hard Road" (http://www.noiresensus.com/authors/a_twig.html), and its style is the complete and utter opposite to yours :) There the author would turn every single emotion or action into something incredibly complicated by means of long-winded descriptions and never-ending internal monologues and such. I like such style from time to time, too, it has its value and meaning, but it transports very mundane things into the Realm of Pathos and they tend to lose their naturalness... (and that fic would have been so much better if edited down to at least twice shorter than its original length). Btw i think you did so well to make Gackt realise he can't do without You. I think that's the only way for him to love somebody. And i am still perplexed by You's behaviour... ...and how did you know You'd be holding him up by his right arm and Chacha - by his left? =P
Wednesdays and Saturdays are quickly becoming my fav days of the week!
Too much emotive description can have the effect of removing the emotions from what is happening sometimes, I think. I also think that the readers can find that emotion themselves.
I haven't read that fic that you linked to. I haven't read much FFVII fiction at all other than some set around Crisis Core (hmm... SOLDIERS XD)
Well, You always stands on the right hand side of Gackt on stage and Chacha is on his left. It would have been really strange and unnatural for them to have been the other way around, right? And fan accounts of the fall said that it happened. Put the two together and you get it right!
I have always been a Zack girl, and i haven't come across many good Genesis-centred fics, but The Mission by Ardwynna Morrigu is a TOTAL SOLDIER WIN XD (here - http://ardwynna-m.livejournal.com/tag/fic%3A%20the%20mission) It's Seph/Gen/Angeal centred and it's hot and funny and sad at the same time. Genesis is so naturally Gacktish there! =P Give it a try if you have time.
Ahh, Genesis has become a caricature as the years have passed I think. His only purpose in most fiction seems to be as the perpetually horny, slighty effeminate SOLDIER in high heeled boots. And that's fun in a little fluff piece, but after reading it so many times I abandoned reading Crisis Core stuff altogether. What a waste of a character that could be so much more interesting!
I remember reading the first few parts but it was bout the time I fell out with Crisis Core fandom and I don't think I have the willpower to read it all now!

I can totally understand not being interested in fanfics after losing interest in a fandom. Last summer i started reading a huge Death Note novel (i think i still have the link somewhere... yes, here - http://anime.adultfanfiction.net/story.php?no=600047145), and was really fascinated by it, but then G zoomed into my life and i never finished it XD
