(no subject)
I had an unexpected week off of work. It was supposed to be that I was off Tuesday and Wednesday, worked Thursday and Friday, and then had a three day weekend with Sat, Sun, Mon. Jake, however, was asked to do a trip down to Georgia for work and (SHOCK!) his boss said I could go with when he asked. Luckily, I am always good about picking up shifts for people and must have had some karma built up because I found a couple gals to pick up Thursday and Friday for me no problem. I had never been down south (except to Texas a couple times). We drove a LOT. Illinois takes forever to get through because the speed limit for trucks is 55 THE WHOLE WAY. It's insane. We drove through the mountains (which I'd never seen) and it was all so beautiful. The heat was something I was not used to, and Jake ended up getting a really bad sunburn, so the cuddling has been very minimal. :) I would like to say that men are such babies when it comes to pain!I had to baby him the past few days...rubbing anti-itch cream on him, making him up a bed of "cool" blankets on the couch, getting him ibprofen and burn spray, etc. etc. The trip was nice (we left Wednesday morning and got back Saturday morning), but I was extremely glad to be home. I'm a major homebody...that's for sure.
Well I'm going to go play some Sims now. I'm a loser...I just downloaded a bunch of new ones that are gorgeous, and I'm trying to get gorgeous babies. I'm so shallow in my Sim world. :)
