August show schedule, Casualties update, live videos

First, the house recital scheduled for August 1 has been postponed till later this fall. The free Sunday recital in Lafayette, CA, August 2 at 7:00 is still happening, however I’ve only had 3 RSVPs. That makes for a very intimate performance, and there’s definitely room for more attendees. Please respond to this message or write me at un@unmediated.net to RSVP & receive directions to the location. My house recitals usually consist of two 45-minute sets, one at the cello & one at the piano, and include several covers (whereas my nightclub shows usually feature just one cover.) There’s also opportunity for a little Q&A and refreshments (feel free to bring non-alcoholic beverages or wine, but please no food unless you’re sure it’s gluten-free.)

August 19-20, I play solo both nights as part of a superfun Shadow Circus Vaudeville Theater event. My set is ~25 minutes, and will include different songs each night. Also performing are the belligerent and hilarious Shadow Circus puppets, acrobat Fancy Kate, and magician Hernan Cortez! The venue, Climate Theater, is very small, so you definitely want to get tickets in advance. http://www.musicboxseries.com/ (ticketing isn’t available for these shows yet, please try back in a week or two.)

August 23 at zinefest, http://www.sfzinefest.com/ in Golden Gate Park, I’ll be selling my CDs and crafts (flower pins and mesh armwarmers aka "armings") at a table I’m sharing with Doctor Popular, on the Sunday only. Probably not playing music, except maybe a little a cacella for tips.
Casualties (next original album) update: I have 15 original songs for Casualties, including 5 from Trouble and 10 brand new. You may have heard some of them live recently. I’m really excited as I feel like I’m really hit a stride with writing songs that are both deep and accessible. I don’t have final versions of any of the songs yet, but I’ve just moved into an apartment I can actually record in, so I expect to start knocking those down rather quickly now.
My tentative plan is to have a web-only single late this fall that’s free but requires giving a valid email address. Since all you lovely people have already given me your address, you’ll automatically be getting access to the tracks as soon as I have them!
