We thought we were gonna lose Chief. There was a lot of talk of putting him to sleep, but I think he's gonna get better.
He snuck off one night in is ancient-dog-with-broken-back pride to pick a fight with a healthy fully-mature-but-not old Great Dane.
His rear leg is still about 3 times normal size from the infection swelling, but he's getting around ok and eating well. His ear is pretty raggedy though.
He's gonna be ok though, which is what matters.
