Some psycho shot his family and then killed a police officer, about 1/4 mile from my house. He's still trading shots with the cops.

I think I sorta know the officer that was killed. He's visited the kid's school and I've seen him at various times around town.

Critter's school is in that neighborhood, so no school for him.

Oy.

Then there was that morning when a guy had been on a high-speed chase all night while we slept; we were awakened by a news copter hovering about 150 feet over the corral, while five others and two police copters flew nearby, when the fellow ran out of gas four blocks away, waved a gun at the cops, and then shot himself.
