Weekend in Boston
So this weekend was awesome. We got to the motel at like 8ish and got settled in. Then we got some Ice Cream at the Bedford Farms Ice Cream stand that was next to the motel. Wicked good Ice Cream. Then we ordered Domino's and had it delivered. We just kind of watched T.V and kicked back. It was really nice to have a place for just Jess and I. No one else. Just us.
We got up Saturday around 10:30ish and got ready to head out to Pride. The map quest directions were so off that we just ended up making up our own directions the whole weekend and just using the MQ as a guide. We ended up on State Street so we just parked at the first parking garage we found. We ended up being right by Fanuil Hall which was cool. Thats a huge friken food court. It's like building for just food venders...it's crazy. We got star bucks and then asked around to figure out where Pride was. It was just a couple of blocks away in the Boston Commons so we just walked.
Pride was absoluty amazing. I felt so at home. there were dykes and gay guys all around me...i almost basically felt like they were my family. I have never felt so free to be proud of who I am as I was this last weekend. I almost cried because it proves everything my parents have told me wrong. I'm not alone and there are other people out there like me going through the same things. I felt so loved and proud to be me. There must have been over 2000 gays all in the same place at once...IT WAS AWESOME...hehe and of course there were wicked cute MTF/FTM. The parade was really long. We ended up getting there late but that was ok because the parade was soo long and awesome that we caught the end.
Then we just kind of walked around for a few hours in a compleat peaceful daze. When we got tired we went back into fanuil hall and got lunch. then we went back to the parking garage and went back to Bedford. We just kind of chilled out for an hour or so then we got dinner at friendly's and went back to the hotel.
Sunday we got up early so we could shower and pack up (check out was at 11). Then we headed off to the science museum. That was awesome! I love goin there..it's like being a little kid again. I remember when my we would go with my grandmother and we would run up and down the musical stairs...fun times. So then after the museum it was back to maine. SO yeah that was my big weekend in Boston and hopefully I have some pictures up soon..
