Summertime
"And the livin's easy..."
I started beauty school the day after school got out.
8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
The only thing I don't like is getting up WAY early during the summer.
Other than that, it's been pretty fucking awesome!
I've been making a bunch of new friends at the school, I even made one that I used to hang out with when I was like, 4 or 5. My mom and her mom graduated together and were pregnant togehter. We used to be neighbors apparently. It's pretty awesome, I must say :)
So far we've learned how to do roller sets, perm wraps, relaxers, scalp treatments, waxing, and we're gonna be doing facials on Wednesday. We get Tuesday off, and school doesn't start till 10 the next day :) :D
Apparently I'm really good at waxing...I ended up getting the most waxed out of everyone in my class lol. I got my arms, lip, and eyebrows done. I like the feeling of it I guess...There was only one other girl that wasn't whining when she was getting her arms done. My arms are soooooooo smooth! I love it!!!
Kinseys getting me 2 piercings for my birthday, and I've chosen for one of them to be a horizontal eyebrow, and I'm still thinking of the other one...I'm gonna be getting an industrial too on top of those.
I cut my own hair for the first time and it looked like CRAP! Lol. I layered the front of it [or at least TRIED to lol] and it ended up looking really choppy and bad. So I went into Jamie Lee & Co. and had Cole fix it for me :) I also put a red tint in the front with foils. It looks spiffy in the sun :) :)
I did my instructors hair today in liberty spikes. I did a DAMN good job too :) :D
Theres a girl in my class who's obsessed with me not having my hair in my face lol. Everyday I come in shes like "TAWNY, GET YOUR HAIR OUT OF YOUR FACE ITS SO PRETTY" And she does it for me :) lol.
She curled the front part of it one day, and I liked it. It was just different is all lol. I'll put pics at the bottom of this entry...
Also, something I've been working on is not doing my makeup with the black eyeliner around my eyes. It's been working pretty well so far...I'm changing a lot of things about myself. I'm just tired of the same old thing every day, ya know?
OH and I came home today from school and there was a small package for me on my doorstep. Inside was a note from my cousin, Lydia, and she wrote thanks for all the times I've babysat her and had fun and all that stuff...inside was a mug that says "Worlds greatest babysitter" on it!! It was sooooo cute!! It totally made my day, I was so happy :) :D Lydia's such a sweetheart .
But yeah. Thats pretty much it so far...I'm excited for Pearl Jam and Lakefair this month!!!!!
